Tab Scissors/Tab Glue: Google Chrome Extension Series #1 & #2

"Tab Scissors" and "Tab Glue," both extensions available for download from the Google Chrome Web Store, have LITERALLY changed my life.

I constantly find myself flipping between tabs on my web browser, and sometimes it is simply too inconvenient to do this.  The extension "Tab Scissors," allows the user to cut their browser between tabs, thus creating split screens.  As a teacher, this comes in incredibly handy, such as when I am transferring grades online between Google Classroom and outside learning platforms like Scootpad.  It is also helpful during professional development seminars when following along with digital presentations and simultaneously taking notes in Google Docs.

When using "Tab Scissors" it is important to pay attention to which tab you currently have exposed.  "Tab Scissors" will cut your tabs to the left, beginning with the tab immediately to the left of the frontmost tab.  Just remember, the scissors cut in the direction they point in the extension favicon.

On the opposite end, "Tab Glue" will take the cut tabs and merge them back together.  This recreates the original solo window containing multiple tabs.

"Tab Scissors" and "Tab Glue" are two extensions that I would definitely recommend for ALL Chrome users.  I cannot imagine not having these two tools at my disposal on a daily basis!

Stay tuned for more extension recommendations in my Google Chrome Extension Series.
